Please DO NOT USE alkaline battery, rechargeable battery, a battery more than 1.5V or a high electric current battery.
The best option is a carbon battery or a low electric current battery (less than 500 ma)

Why we should use carbon battery or low electric current batteries on most of home clocks?
Most of clocks only need very low electric current, especially for quartz clock for home. If use a high electric current battery such as a rechargeable battery, it may damage the clock movement, cause inaccurate time, or even burn out the clock movement, affecting the service life.

Question: What measurement to take? Round insert or the clock face?
Answer: The overall diameter of the clock insert is 2.8 inch (70 mm) that refers to the front face outside maximum diameter including the colored bezel, fit round hole diameter: 2.4 inch (60 mm); Mounting depth: 0.7 inch (17 mm).

Question: Can you hear this clock loudly ticking?
Answer: It does not tick loudly, I don’t hear it ticking....

Question: Can this clock be velcroed to the wall?
Answer: I do not think so. It is designed to go in a carrier.

Question: Does the 70mm quartz clock come with the insides that make it work are do i need something else to go with it.
Answer: You need to add a battery...everything else is included including clock hands.

Question: How do you open it to access the battery?
Answer: The whole back comes off. To put it back on, be sure the tabs go in the appropriate slots. Battery box / clock set dial is located on the back of the clock :)

Question: Does battery come with it?
Answer: Not included. It uses AAA batteries.

Question: Does this mechanism also come with chime?
Answer: There is no chime.

Question: How do you set the clock?
Answer: The back plate lifts off to give access to the battery compartment and adjustment wheel.

Question: Is the lens glass or plastic?
Answer: The lens is plastic.

Question: Is it possible to remove the the bezel and plastic lens and just use the clock face, hands and mechanism?
Answer: Yes. That is exactly what we did.

Question: Does this clock use a double-A battery, or one of those shorter E90 batteries? I've seen both in customer feedback. thanks for any input!
